NBA labels Golden State star Draymond Green as a "repeat offender" and suspends him for Game 3 of the Warriors-Kings series.

The NBA announced Tuesday night that Draymond Green has been suspended for Game 3 of the first-round series between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings.

Additionally, according to the league's statement, the punishment was "based in part on Green's history of unsportsmanlike acts."

Shams Charania of The Athletic initially stated that a suspension for Green was improbable, but that a fine was more likely.

The altercation that led to the suspension happened in the fourth quarter of Game 2 between the Warriors and Kings on Monday.

Domantas Sabonis of the Kings grabbed Draymond Green's leg after a missed Malik Monk floater,

and Green stepped on Sabonis' chest in retaliation. He was dismissed from the contest right away,

and Sabonis was given a flagrant-1 foul.Green's record as a "repeat offender" was taken into consideration, NBA executive vice

president Joe Dumars said in an interview with ESPN on Wednesday.
