Jets may slowly realize Aaron Rodgers isn't worth it.

Although the New York Jets are aware that quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants to play for them, they are not willing to pay the Green Bay Packers' asking price.

The New York Jets learned this past season how crucial the quarterback position was when poor performance at the position contributed significantly to their failure to make the playoffs.

They had Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers in mind as their target since he was the largest fish in the sea.

Prior to his revelation on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he wanted to play for the Jets in 2023,

The Jets were granted permission to talk with him. However, a deal on a trade has yet to be reached by the two teams.

There has been a recent update on trade negotiations and what the Jets are unwilling to give up.

In the episode of "The Season with Peter Schrager Podcast" airing on April 11, Peter Schrager of NFL Network said that he had heard from people outside of the Jets'

Packers' locker rooms that New York was not willing to part with their first- and second-round draft picks in 2023.
