Jack Hughes' efforts were thwarted as the Devils fell 2-0 against the Rangers.

The New York Rangers have completely dominated the Battle of the Hudson after two games.

With a 5-1 win in Game 2 on Thursday night, the Rangers grabbed a 2-0 series lead over the New Jersey Devils, having outscored their

opponents 10-2 in their Eastern Conference first-round game. "Of course there is dissatisfaction.

We just got blown out for the second game in a row, you know?" According to Devils star Jack Hughes.

"We're not playing to our standard, and it's biting us in the ass right now."

For the second straight game, the Rangers used the power play to their advantage, scoring twice.

New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider has scored all four power-play goals.

Through the first two games, the Devils are 1-for-8 on the power play, scoring once in Game 2.
