Alba
scores late to give
Barcelona
narrow win over 10-man Osasuna
Barcelona drew closer to a 27th LaLiga title on Tuesday as Jordi Alba scored late to beat 10-man Osasuna at Camp Nou.
Barca now have 82 points from 33 matches, 14 ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who play at fourth-place Real Sociedad later on Tuesday.
Barcelona is four points behind Real Madrid on 68 points and can only reach 86 points with five games left.
On May 21, against Real Sociedad at Camp Nou, Barca may win the trophy in front of their fans.
Barca squandered several chances against tenacious Osasuna, who defended well with 10 men.
Osasuna held on until the 85th minute, when Robert Lewandowski crossed to Frenkie de Jong, who nodded the ball to Alba for a left-footed effort.
It was an important step because we suffered too much [in trying] to break the deadlock.
Coach Xavi Hernandez told DAZN. "We lost clear opportunities. Jordi's goal almost made winning better.
