Aaron Rodgers Signs a $150 Million Contract

On Tuesday, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero that Rodgers' new contract is official and signed. After that, the team told everyone about the deal.

Last week, when Rodgers decided to go back to Green Bay, he did so with a new four-year deal that will make him the highest-paid NFL player per year.

The Packers and Rodgers talked back and forth for a week about how the deal would work. Rodgers will make an average of $50 million per year for the first three years.

Rapoport also said that the deal has two placeholders at the end that could be changed when the pay cap comes up.

In a statement, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said, "We are very happy to be able to reach an agreement with Aaron that keeps him in Green Bay."

Rodgers was expected to make a base salary of $26.47 million and a maximum salary of $46.664 million in 2022.

Because of the new deal, his pay will go up this season and the salary cap will go down.

Pelissero says that the quarterback for the Packers will make $42 million in 2022, $59.515 million in 2023, and $49.3 million in 2024. This will give him a total of $150,815,000 over three years.
